Mechanical Pencil by Craft Design Technology

Craft Design Technology's version of the classic Pentel Kerry mechanical pencil is a pleasure to use and practical at the same time. The original concept of the Kerry when it was developed in 1971 was a mechanical pencil used in the same manner as a fountain pen in the way it's capped. The ingenious design is that while the metal cap protects the extended precision tip when closed, when it's posted on the back the top end performs just like a regular knock-type mechanical pencil by advancing the lead and conceals an eraser underneath.

The barrel is made of high quality glossy white plastic with a central brass section that has a delicate traditional Japanese relief pattern. The compact size makes it very portable and the clip on the cap let's you store it securely. The cap attaches with a firm satisfying click both when closing and posting.

Measures 5" long capped; 5 1//4" long posted, 7/16" diameter. Features 0.5mm lead and a replaceable eraser. Comes in a custom paper board box. Made in Japan.
